Stormwater Fees

The funds collected through the collection of stormwater fees legally can only be used to fund expenses directly related to stormwater management expenses.

For 2019, the temporary stormwater fee will be based on the number of sewer or municipal solid waste units you are currently paying.  The permanent stormwater rate structure will be based on square footage of impervious area, as measured and calculated from the most current aerial photography.  This permanent rate structure will go into effect starting January 2020.  The vast majority of stormwater programs across the United States have found this rate structure to be the most fair, equitable, and legally defensible method of collecting revenue to fund stormwater programs.
